We supplied our primary distribution solutions to connect the new turbines at the Gardunha II wind farm

The connection of this upgraded wind farm, which will add 25 MW of green energy to Portugal’s grid, marks another milestone in our extensive experience in the renewable energy sector


At Ormazabal, we continue to take firm steps on our route to zero, leading innovative solutions to drive the growth of renewable energy and support the decarbonization of our society. Recently, we had the opportunity to participate in the RePower project at the Gardunha II wind farm, located in Portugal, where we supplied various configurations of our cpg.0 1250 A primary distribution switchgear. These will enable the connection and secure operation of the new 4.2 MW wind turbines to Portugal’s electrical grid.

For this project we focused on integrating our compact and efficient solutions from the cpg.0 range, combining protective switchgear with circuit breakers and protective switchgear with fuses, designed to operate in the most demanding environments. This technology allows the expansion and upgrade of wind farms with more powerful and efficient turbines, delivering effective results at attractive costs.
