Ormazabal doing its bit for the last active salt mine in France

In Meurthe-et-Moselle, just a few minutes from Nancy, we have had the pleasure of working for the Compagnie des Salins du Midi et des Salines de l’Est, one of Europe’s main salt producers. This historic producer of table salt, well known for its brands, has one of the widest ranges of salts for the needs of the food industry. It is also the operator of the last active mine in France, with sodium salt dating back more than 200 million years.

For this capacity increase project in a flood-prone area, we have provided a 100% Ormazabal solution, consisting of concrete substations, including a distribution substation and two transformer substations with completely sealed and fully insulated medium-voltage distribution cubicles. And to complete the set, we customised one of the substations with wooden cladding.

Electricité Industrielle J.TRICOT has been working with Ormazabal for almost 6 years. Together, we have carried out 29 projects. Quality, technical expertise and excellent commercial support have always been present. Ormazabal is “to be consumed without moderation”, says Jean Paul Guillot – Technical Manager – J Tricot Electricité industrielle.
