Ormazabal receives Iberdrola's Best Supplier of the Year Award

The Best Supplier of the Year Award, granted by Iberdrola has gone to Ormazabal, for its extensive experience working together. As reported by Iberdrola, the special 2022 Award went to the Basque company, for “always responding with the highest level of quality, developing solutions together, and flexibility of supply. Ormazabal is more of a partner than a supplier, sharing risks with a continuous quality of communication and leading the industry in best practices”.

Javier Ormazabal, Chairman of Velatia, thanked Iberdola for the award and said “we are very grateful to receive it from a company, a client and an icon such as Iberdrola. I am sure that together we will continue to have the necessary confidence to co-design the smartisation solutions for the electrical networks of the future. Iberdrola undoubtedly gives Ormazabal a huge advantage in positioning ourselves in the world”.

Iberdrola today presented its Supplier of the Year Awards in Spain 2022; a recognition that, this year, has gone to a total of 11 companies collaborating with the company in the development of its strategy towards a decarbonised economy, based on its investments in renewables and distribution grids, increasingly smarter, large-scale storage projects and its commitment to innovative solutions for its clients.

With these awards, Iberdrola recognises the key role of the value chain in the achievement of the Group’s strategic projects, underlines the importance of creating an ecosystem of suppliers working towards the same goals, and reiterates its commitment to encourage business management in aspects such as sustainable development, safety and quality, innovation, internationalisation and job creation.
