The second edition of the Ormazabal Host Event took place on October 10th with a resounding success in attendance, gathering over thirty students and recent graduates from various disciplines such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Big Data, or Business Administration and Management. All of them had the opportunity to discover the reality of Ormazabal through the experiences and insights of different Ormazabal colleagues. This event, held at the Itsasmuseum-Maritime Museum in Bilbao, marked its second edition, following the one held in 2021, with the commitment to showcase the value proposition we offer at Ormazabal and our reality to young talent in the region. This milestone was exceeded thanks to the high expectancy and participation shown by the attendees.
The day consisted of several distinct parts in which the students could learn about what we do at Ormazabal through the firsthand statements of various young colleagues in the company, who spoke about their professional and educational experiences at the company. Additionally, during various interactive speeches, the attendees learned, from our colleagues in the Human Capital department, about the job openings at the company, the different types of individuals we are looking to add to our team, and the challenges these roles face, everywhere we have a presence worldwide.
As a grand finale, the students participated in a challenge, grouped into five teams (Flexibility, Leadership, Innovation, Pragmatism, and Support, in line with the company’s values), where they had to work on a theme that they later defended on stage. The Flexibility team emerged as the winner of the initiative, receiving a test bridge and an informative coaching session with a professional in the field as their prize.
This initiative is part of Ormazabal’s firm commitment to talent in order to create a more electric future. As such, we participate in various in-house projects and collaborate with talent-attracting entities at regional, national, and international levels to promote our purpose among different profiles and unite forces with those who can help us make the world a more electric, efficient, and sustainable place.
